Random thoughts of interrupted sleep

Sun Nov 29, 2009, 6:32 PM
• DA is the slowest site I can possibly load - even compared to sites like 4walled which are loading more and larger images.

• The messages section loads slower than anything else, even when it's empty, and by the time I get in I don't care what's in there anymore.

• Yet I still try to open it, even if after 10 minutes I just delete messages.

• I wonder if anyone ever called a tech support line, played Good Vibrations in the background when they finally got the call taken and yelled into the phone: "TECH SUPPORT! IT'S A NIGHTMARE!"

• Why is that so tempting, yet at the same time so terrifying?

• Allergies have become too common an excuse for me to dislike things. I came to this realization when I explained to a former employer that I was allergic to boats.

• I purposely sneeze after someone says something stupid, even though they're never going to understand the implication.

• I'm realizing more and more that most people I meet in real life resemble youtube posters when I get to know what they really think.

• Kill me.

• The conspiracy theorists who expect a plane hitting a building to leave a plane shaped hole watch too many cartoons.

• If I could fire them into a building from a cannon, what sort of hole would they leave? What kind of force would I need to make them penetrate the wall, and more importantly, how do I make a cannon like that?

• If I made a trebuchet and fired tennis balls far into the neighborhood in random directions, would anybody notice?

• What about pies?

• Besides scaring the tech support people, I often wonder what would happen if every time people had an unreasonable fear of something, we just did it before we had time for that to set in.

• I have an unreasonable fear of trying that.

• Is it possible to make money by having people pay you to stop singing? Is that a worthy career?

*update*

• I have discovered that rubbing my blanket makes a lot of static electricity. Now whenever I can't sleep I lie in bed making lightning, and it is awesome.

:icon2342:
Heh, I think if I was going to hate you it'd be too late by now. And... you missed by a few hours here, but it was probably still the same day to you.

I didn't really do anything for it besides drink a heap of lemonade anyway (we went to visit my mom on the weekend, and they had a box of it they wanted to get rid of).
